The Edisto Buoy is reading  3.6 feet at 6 seconds in a fresh south-east wind swell, ground swell combo. So, there should be some choppy surf to ride today.

Tropical storm Arthur heads west of the Outer Banks today and will head south-west as a tropical depression for the remainder of the week. We see more, small south-east wind swell fill in today and into late week as a deep upper-level low lingers off-shore. This should combine with small long-period ground swell from Tropical Storm Arthur late week. There will be south winds on it, but at least there should be something to ride this week. Surf looks to get smaller for the weekend as high pressure sets up

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Deep low pressure will linger to the west for much of the week. Atlantic high pressure will build toward the area during the weekend and linger through the middle of next week.

It’s 74 today with sun this morning. Look for a high of 79 with a chance of a thunderstorm later today.

Water temperature is around 75*.

Sunrise is at 6:18 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:14 p.m.
