Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov 13th at 8:45 a.m.

Surf at the pier looks mediocre and not really breaking although you can see something is in the water. Just not much energy behind it. Smaller than yesterday. It is a pretty angled running down the beach with a full tide underneath it.

Winds again are currently north/north-east at 10 mph making for drifty conditions, but fairly clean. Expect NE winds to stay around 10-15 mph with 20 mph gusts

High tide was at 8:02 a.m. We have a low tide is 2:22 p.m., and next high tide will be 8:09 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 feet at 9 sec east/east south-east medium period swell. We also have 4.2 feet at 4.2 seconds in short period north-east wind-swell most of which is heading south past our shores.

High angled Northeast wind-swell for Tuesday and looking weak at the pier. May be breaking a little better at the washout, but don’t expect much. Long range forecast is looking good. Mid-late week we should see significant moisture/low pressure move in our direction from the northern Gulf. This will interact with our marine area Friday/Saturday we will keep you posted but its looking good. Also beginning to watch a potential tropical development in the southern Caribbean late work week into the weekend next week. Chances are improving that the end of the week into the weekend could give us some fun surf!

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will remain the primary feature through tonight. An area of Low pressure is forecasted to move just south and east of our region mid to late in the week. A cold front will move through this weekend.”

Water temperature is starting to drop, it’s around 67*.

It’s 58* partly cloudy and windy. Look for a high of 66* and partly cloudy today.

Sunrise is at 6:48 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:19 p.m.
