Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
We will be having our annual “Schwack Friday” sale this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. We’ll have 25% off men’s and women’s foot-wear and apparel, and $100 off of any new board in the shop, including $40 off of any soft-board. There will be lots of other deals, so come check out the sale.
We will close at 3 p.m. tomorrow for Thanksgiving, and will be closed Thanksgiving Day.
Surf at Folly this morning is knee high. There is a thigh set. It’s slow, lazy ground swell.
Winds are north/north-west this morning about 5 knots, and surf is very clean. You could ride it on the long-board if you need to get wet.
Look for winds to rotate south-west at 10 to 15 knots this afternoon. Surf gets surface chop for afternoon as south-west winds pick up.
Tide is now going out, and low tide will be at 1:27 p.m. High tide will be at 7:25 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6 ft. ft. at 10 seconds in a long period east/south-east swell.
We have clean, small surf this morning in the knee high range with a slightly bigger set, and it’s nice and clean. Bring the long-board for the glide. Looking long-range high pressure does return for the work week. Not much action for Folly although another cold front looks to approach Wednesday night passing on Thanksgiving, and we see very small north-east wind waves fill in Thursday and Friday. As another cold front approaches Sunday, look for a bigger, choppy strong south/south-west wind swell cleaning up late day on Sunday. Surf looks to fall off Monday and into the middle of next week as high pressure sets up again.
Its 45* with sun this morning. Look for a great beach day with a high of 63* and sun.
Water temperature is now 59*
Sunrise is at 6:59 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
