Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, November 28th at 8:15 a.m.
It is lake flat. Waves are breaking right up on the rocks at the washout and it doesn’t look like any chance for surf today. A lot of water and no beach with the full moon.
The winds are NW at 8 mph and will continue NW at 10-15 mph all day.
We have a high tide at report time, low tide will drop out at 2:29 p.m. Our next high tide is 8:28 p.m. tonight
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0ft at 7 seconds out of the east + moderate offshore winds = no surf today.
Lake Folly today and probably the rest of the week. North to Northwest winds forecasted for the next couple of days as we approach the weekend. Late Thursday night winds may rotate to a more southerly flow into the weekend. This will hopefully generate a little surf for us. We will keep you posted on that as we get closer.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will build into the area today. A weak cold front will stall nearby during mid-week, then dissipate as a coastal trough forms offshore late week. The next frontal system should impact the region this weekend into early next week.”
Water temperature is 60*. Bring your wetsuit.
It’s a chilly 44* and cloudy this morning. We see a high of 56* with sunshine returning in the afternoon.
Sunrise is at 7:01 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:14 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
