Surf at Folly Is waist to chest high in a choppy south wind swell.

Winds are blowing from the south/south-east at 15  knots with a higher gust. Surf is choppy and disorganized, but there is some surf.

We are coming off a low tide at approximately 8 a.m. and we will have a high tide at 2:30 p.m. The next low tide will be at 8:41 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7 feet at 5 seconds in a short period south/south east wind swell. So these is plenty of short period swell at the buoy, and there should be waves all day.

We have a warm front lifting north today, and with it, we have a fresh south wind swell. There should be surf all day of the choppy variety. After this frontal passage, we see high pressure set up and keep surf small until the end of the week. We’ll see north-east winds pick up behind the front, and drifty north-east wind sell will be on offer for the weekend.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “. A warm front will lift north through the region tonight into Tuesday. A cold front will then cross the area late Tuesday night into Wednesday, followed by high pressure through Thanksgiving. An area of low pressure could impact the region late week into the weekend.”

Water temperature is 63*. Bring your wetsuit.

It’s 70** cloudy and windy. We see clouds today and the temperature should stay about the same today, and expect a chance of showers.

Sunrise is at 6:52 a.m. Sunset is right at 5:17 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
