Good morning this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, November 29 at 8:30 a.m.

Waves at the Washout today are flat-to-knee high.

Winds are north-east at 5 to 10.

We see north-east winds at 5 to 10, becoming south-east this afternoon at 10 knots.

Tide is coming in, and high tide will be at 12:22 p.m. Low tide will be at 6:33 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1 foot at 9 seconds in a small, medium period south-east wind swell. No swell at the buoy, means no surf for today.

We see a series of cold fronts come though this week into the weekend. One moves through Wednesday night, and one on Sunday. Look for small, choppy, pre-frontal south-west wind swell for Wednesday. By Thursday, winds go strong north/north-east and push wind-swell past our beaches, but we could get some choppy, drifty, high angled north-east wind swell building Thursday into Friday. For the weekend, high pressure moves off the Mid-Atlantic and some easterly swell moves more into our window Saturday into Sunday. Likely Nothing too big, but perhaps something to ride Saturday and into Sunday with more moderate winds.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail through late tonight. A cold front will move through late Wednesday, followed by cool high pressure. Another cold front will move through on Sunday.”

It’s 56* with bright sun this morning. Look for a high of 68* and sun. Nice beach weather.

Water temperature is dropping off. It’s running around 61* Sunrise is at 7:01 a.m., and sunset will be at 5:14 p.m
