Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, October 27 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is knee- high and not to looking to great this morning. It’s pretty weak.

Winds are north at 5 knots, and surf zone is side-shore and very clean.

Look for winds to remain light from the north-east today, and surf zone should remain semi-clean today, with small surf in the forecast.

Low tide this morning at 11:43 a.m., high tide will be at 6:03 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is down. Virtual buoy data is showing 2 ft at 6 seconds in a small, medium-period east/south-east swell.

Surf is best for the log today, with knee-high surf and semi-clean conditions by this afternoon. We see small surf to start your work week, but we have Hurricane Zeta entering the Gulf of Mexico The storm is forecasted to further strengthen and hit somewhere near Louisiana. Zeta will merge with an oncoming cold front that will eventually affect our marine area Thursday with strong south winds and a quick shot of south wind swell. Look for surf to build Thursday in choppy, drifty conditions. This fades Friday morning with strong offshore winds, colder temps and hopefully a few leftovers early in the morning. We see high-angled north-east wind swell build through the weekend behind the cold front, and this high angled north-east wind swell should carry into early in the work week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will linger through the middle of the week. A storm system will bring impacts to the region Thursday, followed by high pressure Friday into the weekend.”

It’s 64* this morning with sun at the beach. We have perfect beach weather. Look for a high today of 75* and sun.

Water temperature is 74*.

Sunrise is at 7:33 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:32 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
