Good morning this is Chad, with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, Oct 31st at 8:30 a.m.

Happy Halloween ya bunch of freaks! This ain’t no trick. Surf at the Washout is running thigh-waist high and pretty soft with the incoming high tide. It’s clean this morning and there is a little wave. Breaking kinda close to the beach, but looks fun.

Winds are north/north-east this morning, pretty light and surf is nice and clean.

We look for east/north-east winds this afternoon at 5-10 knots, and surf-zone should see a little bump later today.

High tide was at 10:14 a.m. We’ll see the only low tide today at 4:37 p.m., and a high tide will be at 10:38 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 9 seconds in a medium period south east ground swell from a little low just off the Bahamas

We see pre-frontal south wind swell filling in today with easterly winds and semi-choppy conditions. After a cold front passage tonight night, winds go strong north/north-east and blow swell past our beaches. Late week, we could see a low form off of a frontal boundary near our swell window, but it’s a ways off. We’ll keep you updated.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A strong cold front will move through the region today, ushering in substantially cooler air. Cold high pressure will then prevail through late week and the upcoming weekend.”

Water temperature is around 68*.

It’s beautiful this morning. It’s 65* with sun burning off the morning fog. Look for sun and a high of 77* today. It’s a beautiful day to enjoy Folly.

Sunrise is at 7:34 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:30 p.m. Last light is right at 6:58 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
