Clean. Great day for water-skiing in the surf zone.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Daaaang Flat.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Tuesday, October 19 at 8:30 a.m.

We just received a shipment of new Carver Surfskates. Come get one while we still have a good selection.

Surf at the Washout is DANG-flat. That’s a special kind of flat. Haha.

Winds are north-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is very clean.

Look for east winds at 5 to 8 knots this afternoon. Not much wind, and a perfect day to get on the water for some fall fishing.

Tide is going out and low tide will be at 1:48 pm. The next high tide will be at 8 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 1 feet at 9 seconds in a medium-period east/south-east swell.

We see high-pressure set up to start the work week with moderate north winds and much cooler weather on tap. High pressure will dominate our weather pattern, and we see beautiful weather all week. Unfortunately surf is looking small for the work week, too. Tropics are quiet for now.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will prevail across the region most of this week. A cold front will move through on Friday, followed by high pressure for next weekend.”

It’s 58* and sunny this morning. It’s beautiful and cool.  Look for a high of 73* today with sun. It’s a perfect fall beach day.

Water temperature is 74*.

Sunrise is at 7:27 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:42 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
