TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 9 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: None.
Parking: Plenty.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Charlie (not a dude… yes, chicks can do surf reports too) with your surf report for Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

We just got in some new Ocean sweatshirts to keep you warm after that early morning surf so come stop by and get yours before they go.

Surf at The Washout is knee-high with a few thigh-high sets here and there. Winds are blowing North-East at 13 mph adding a little bit of texture to the waves.

Winds will rotate as the afternoon approaches more out of the East with gusts up to 20 mph.

Surf isn’t looking too promising today but may worth bringing your log out for the incoming high-tide tonight before sunset.

We will have a low tide at 12:32 p.m. and then a high tide right before sunset at 6:36 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 3 feet at 8.3 seconds in a medium period East/North-east swell. This is mixed with a 3.6 feet at 5.9 seconds Easterly wind swell. We are seeing a lot of North-Easterly in this swell.

With the dominant Easterly winds coming in this week we definitely expect a little bit of swell as we get closer to the weekend. Winds look to lighten up a little Thursday and Friday at the morning high-tide before picking up in the afternoon. Not something to get too excited over but worth grabbing your board and getting in the water before you head out to work.

Our guys (and gals) over at NOAA predict that a “High pressure will prevail this week. A cold front will move through Friday night, followed by the return of high pressure from the north.”

Water temp is 70* and as we get closer to those colder water temperatures, come stop by and grab some Neoprene and stay warm.

It’s 66* and partly cloudy. Looks like we may have a bit of sunshine throughout the day with a high of 75*.

Sunrise was at 7:35 a.m. and Sunset will be at 6:31 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast. #follybeach#surfreport#surf#oceansurfshop#smallwaves#windswell
