Tuesday Washout 03/18/25
Good morning, this is Easy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf report and forecast for Tuesday, March 18th at 8:30am.
Surfs has dropped a ton since yesterday and the power has left with it too! Higher volume boards today would be the call if you just have to surf. Waves are around the knee high range with the sets and some North winds that are adding a little of texture to the faces and also causing it to be slightly chilly as well.
Winds are WNW 10-15 kt and its semi-clean. Winds are supposed to lighten up as the day expires also turning more to the SW by sunset.
High tide approaching at 11:01 a.m. with a low tide following later at 5:04 p.m.
Edisto buoy is reading 4.9 ft at 6 seconds in a medium period SSE swell.
Surf is looking pretty lame after yesterdays window of sick nugs and does not look super promising for the future either. Our friends over at NOAA predict a, “High pressure will prevail through Wednesday. A weak cold front quickly moves through our area on Thursday, followed by a return of High pressure for the end of the week into the weekend”. So not too much on the horizon for additional swell as of now.
The water temperature is around 59*.
It’s currently 48* and sunny with some wind, expected to reach 62* today.
Sunrise was at 7:27 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:30 p.m.
Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
