Waves at the Washout are ankle high and clean.
Winds are NW at 10 knots and are expected to shift SW this afternoon.
Low tide will be at 10:11 am followed by high tide at 4:14 pm.
Edisto buoy is reading 5.6 ft. at 5 sec. in short period N wind swell.
A dry cold front approaches Friday but will be followed by high pressure, which is likely to deter any swell. Cold fronts and low pressure will wax and wane over the next few days, so there isn’t expected to be much sizable surf. Temperatures remain cold!
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry high pressure will persist across the region through Thursday. A cold front will push through the area Friday before high pressure prevails Saturday and Sunday. Another cold front will shift over the region Monday into Tuesday before high pressure returns during the middle of next week.”
It’s 35* with sunshine this morning. Look for a high of 51* today with sun.
Water temperature keeps going down, and is now 55*. Sunset is at 5:12 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:10 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
