Good Morning. This is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for the Wednesday, July 26 at 8:10 a.m.
Waves at The Washout are knee to thigh high, with a slightly bigger set.
Winds are north-west at 5 knots, and surf is very clean.
It looks OK for the longboard.
Look for winds to become east this afternoon at 10 knots, chopping up the surf-zone.
High tide will be at 11:05 a.m. Low tide will be at 4:59 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 2 ft. at 11 seconds in long period south-easterly swell.
Surf should average thigh high today, decreasing as the tide goes out midday. Look for waves to possibly pick back up late this evening in bumpy conditions with east winds at 10 knots. We see south swell average knee to thigh high for Thursday, and surf picks up in south-west wind swell to round out your work week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Broad low pressure will remain across far southern Southeast Georgia through tonight. A weak cold front will stall over or near Southeast South Carolina through Thursday. Another cold front will move into the area this weekend, then likely stall just offshore into early next week.”
It is 78* and cloudy this morning. Expect a high of 84 with mostly cloudy skies and rain/thunderstorms today.
Water temp is around 86*.
Sunset is at 8:21 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:29 a.m.
