Wednesday April 17th

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Wednesday, April 17th at 7:40 a.m.

Surf at Folly has picked up a notch showing knee to thigh high at best, its enough to shove the logs.

Winds are moderate out of the SW at 10-15mph putting some texture to the surface.

We have a low tide at 10:15 am. We have a high tide at 4:11 pm with a dropping tide to finish our day.

Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 ft at 9 seconds out of the SE.

Surf Is still pretty small about knee-thigh high, although the buoy is picking up some swell at the moment. Nothing crazy but enough to shove the logs.  Surf for the most part stays pretty down this week, we might get slight trade-swell from weak offshore high pressure mid-late week, for some longboard sessions. Late weekend we look to have a low pressure coming our way around Sunday that could give us some much needed surf. keep your fingers crossed.

NOAA Marine Forecast: “High pressure will persist through the end of the work week. A cold front is forecasted to bring unsettled weather to our area this weekend. High pressure returns early next week.”

The water temp is around 67*.

It is 61* and sunny mixed with clouds. Look for continued sunshine today with a high of 78*

Sunrise is 6:50 a.m., Sunset 7:49 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
