The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 feet at 11 seconds in a long period easterly swell pushing against a north/north-west wind swell.

There is a little clean wave out here this morning, and there should be a small rideable wave at Folly today, especially for the high Surf is looking see smaller surf today and into the end of the week as high angled north/north-east wind swell moves past our beaches with high pressure set up over our marine area. A front might stall over our marine area for the weekend, and this could push up bigger surf, but likely nothing to write home about. Maybe a small wind wave for Saturday morning. The best chance for more meaningful surf will come Tuesday and into the middle of next week as high pressure sets up off the mid-Atlantic after the front moves farter off-shore. We should see south flow increase and push up a fun, trade-wind swell.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “High pressure will prevail into late week. A front could stall over or near the area this weekend.”

It’s a cool 65* this morning with clouds at the beach. Clouds move out this afternoon and we see sun with a high of 72*.

Water Temperature is around 68*.

Sunrise is at 6:36 a.m., and sunset will be at 7:58 p.m.
