Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday Aug 17th at 8:30 a.m. Welcome back to school, you’re not missing anything. Everyone else can get those chores done today.

Waves at Folly this morning are flat.

Winds are north at 4 knots.    

Look for winds to pick up out of the north at 5-10 knots today becoming north-east later today.  

High tide will be at 12:57 p.m., and low tide will be at 7:08 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 0.7 feet at 8.3 seconds in a medium-period, easterly swell.

Waves are flat this morning. It’s looking pretty small for the rest of the work week with not many swell-makers in our vicinity. Some charts are showing an increase in wave size about 10 days out. Keep your eye on it.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A stalled front will linger in the vicinity through early next week.”

Water Temperature is around 84*.

It’s 76* and cloudy this morning. We see a high of 81* today with passing clouds and some thunderstorms in the evening.

Sunrise is at 6:44 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:02 p.m.
