We’ll be having a Labor Day sale with 25% off of all summer apparel and footwear. Come check it out Friday through Monday.

Surf at the Washout is in the ankle-to-knee high range.

Winds are south/south-east at 5 knots and surf is overall pretty clean.

Look for variable winds around 10 knots today, and surf-zone should be semi-clean all day.

We are coming off a high tide, and low tide will be at 12:30 a.m. The day’s next high tide will be at 6:55 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2 feet at 7 seconds in a north-east swell, most of which is passing by our beaches.

Tropical Storm Dorian is located near Puerto Rico and is moving west/north-west. Right now the track takes the storm along the east coast, pushing up a swell starting late day Saturday, and possibly keeping surf in our forecast through Monday, but we’ll nee to keep an eye on the track, as newer models are tracking the storm near our marine area Monday into Tuesday.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak trough will prevail over the area today, before a cold front passes through tonight. The front will linger offshore through the weekend while high pressure prevails inland. Tropical Cyclone Dorian is forecast to approach the east coast of Florida late this weekend. Refer to the latest advisory on Dorian issued by the National Hurricane Center.”

It’s 82* with partly clouds skies. Look for a high of 87* and a 50% chance of rain this afternoon.

Water temperature is around 85*.

Sunrise is at 6:50 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:51 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
