Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Wednesday, December 20th at 8:00 a.m.

It might be a little colder this morning than yesterday. Wind chill of 29* right now. We got your gloves, booties, beanies, and hoods ready to keep you warm on these cold mornings.

From the pier the waves are running about thigh to waist high on the sets. Winds are keeping it clean with a nice offshore breeze. Coming off low tide it is still a little drained but should start to open up with the incoming tide. Definitely worth keeping your eye on.

Winds are currently NNE at 12mph. Winds are forecasted to stay northerly and may lighten up a little.

Low tide was 7:46 a.m. this morning. Our only high tide will be at 2:05 p.m. Low tide will be at 8:13 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is currently reading 4.3 ft at 10 seconds from the ESE.

Surf is clean with the North winds. It is still a little drained out, but starting to open up. Should be fun today on the incoming tide. We expect northerly winds throughout the week so waves are likely to continue to drop. The weekend looks small with potential increase in waves as we enter next week.

NOAA Forecast: “High pressure will prevail through the rest of the week. A storm system could bring impacts to our region early next week.”

Current water temp: 60*.

It is 36* this morning with sun and wind. Look for a high of 51* sunny to partly cloudy and breezy today.

Sunrise is 7:17 a.m., Sunset 5:17 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
