Clean for morning. Side-shore texture for afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Flaaaattt.
Traffic: None.
Parking: Everywhere.
Dangers: Long flat-spell.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesady, December 9 at 8:30 a.m.

We just received a shipment of the new John John Florence models in the Pyzel softboard series. Come check them out. We also just received a new shipment of Torq funboards just in time for Christmas. Come check them out.

Surf at Folly is flat and weak this morning.

Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf-zone is clean.

Look for west winds increasing to 15 knots this afternoon, and we see a side-shore, textured surf-zone later today with small surf continuing.

We have a low tide as of report time, and high tide will be at 2:37 p.m. The next low tide is at 9 p.m.

Virtual buoy data isn’t really worth mentioning. There is not much swell out there today. Better day for a boat ride.

Unfortunately, we don’t expect too much surf over the next several days as we see off-shore flow in the forecast much of the work-week. The weather is very nice, though. We could see a quick shot of south-west wind swell Sunday, but it’s not anything to write home about.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through late week. A cold front is expected to cross the region Sunday, followed by more high pressure and cooler conditions into the middle of next week.”

It’s sunny and 38* this morning. Expect lots of sunshine today and a high of 55*.

Water temperature has dropped to 58*.

Sunrise is at 7:10 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
