Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, February 26, at 8:30 a.m.

All of our wetsuits are marked down. Come check it out while the selection is still good. We also have tons of really cool softboards in stock from Catch Surf and SofTech. Come check ‘em out.

Surf at Folly this morning is waist-to-stomach high and soft at the high tide. Looks fun for a high volume board.

Winds are south-west at 5 to 8 knots, and surf is fairly clean, with a little chatter in the wave face.

Look winds to increase south-westerly at 15 to 20 this afternoon, chopping up the surf.

We have a high tide at 9:32 a.m., and a low tide at 3:32 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:39 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 7 seconds in south/south-east wind swell.

There are some fun waves to be had and the wind is light for your high-tide session this morning. We see south-west winds increasing this afternoon as a cold front approaches. Thursday, high pressure and off-shore winds should blow down the surf as the temperature drops again after a cold front. Surf looks to get small for the weekend and into the middle of next week, so get some today if you can.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will push offshore tonight. High pressure returns Thursday and Friday, with a weak cold front expected Friday night. High pressure will again prevail into early next week.”

It’s 61* with clouds this morning. Look for rain today and a high of 66*.

Water temperature is around 56*.

Sunrise is at 6:51 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:13 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
