Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, February 10 at 8:30 a.m.

We received a new shipment of Reef flops for men and women. Come pick up a pair. Spring is right around the corner.

Surf this morning is thigh high. There is an occasional waist-high set. It doesn’t quite have the punch it had yesterday, but looks fun for the longboard.

Winds are light from the north, and surf zone is nice and clean.

Winds rotate north-east at 5 to 10 knots this afternoon knots, and surf zone will likely get some bump in it later today.

Tide is going out, and we have a low tide at 12:54 p.m.. High tide is at 6:56 p.m.

Virtual buoy readings are showing 3 ft. at 9 seconds in a long-period south/south-east swell.

After a fun day of waves yesterday, waves don’t look quite as big today, but there is still something to ride for the longboard this morning, with clean conditions on the outgoing tide. Look for north-east winds bumping up continued small south swell for this afternoon. Likely still rideable on the right gear.  We should have a continued lazy south trade wind swell Thursday as there will be some on-shore flow and some swell off-shore. After a cold front passage Friday, we see a typical, high angled north-east wind swell pass by our beaches for the weekend.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “A wedge of high pressure will dominate through early Thursday. A cold front will sweep through the region on Friday, before high pressure returns to the area late this weekend. A series of low pressure systems should impact the region early next week, before high pressure returns during the middle of next week.”

It is 56* and cloudy at the beach. Look for a high of 59* and clouds with occasional showers this afternoon.

Water temperature is 52*.

Sunrise is at 7:06 a.m. and sunset will be at 6 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
