Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Wednesday, Feb 21st at 8:45 a.m.

We currently still have all our 4/3 wetsuits on sale, so come and get them while the weather is still cold! Always good to be ready to roll come next cold season too.

Waves at the washout are still small with the dropping tide. It’s about thigh high and somewhat clean. Check for incoming tide, maybe something to surf if you feel the need. It is a higher volume board kind of day.

Winds are north/north-east at 10-15 knots this morning. Winds will stay out of the north-east through the day at 10 knots, and surf should be semi-choppy this afternoon.

Low tide is 11:54 a.m., and high tide will be at 6:08 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 6.6 feet at 8 seconds in a medium period east. A little swell is trying to peak through.

If the winds stay somewhat light throughout the day, there may be a little something on the incoming tide. Most of the swell is passing us by, but every now and again something is getting through. Winds go west/south-west Thursday into Friday ahead of a frontal boundary, pushing up south-west winds and short-period, south-west wind swell for late week of the choppy variety, but there could be some size. Hopefully this swell will clean up before it gets dark on Friday, but it’ll drop fast after the frontal passage. High pressure sets up next weekend, and we’ll see smaller surf.

The water temp is around 60*.

The NOAA Marine Forecast for our waters calls for: “High pressure will prevail through Thursday, with a cold front passing through the area Friday. High pressure will return to the region this weekend and prevail into early next week.”

It’s 47* and blue skies this morning. Look for a high of 60* and sunny. Nice day at the beach for stroll during the mid-day low tide.

Sunrise is 6:58 a.m., Sunset 6:10 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf Shop. We’ll check back tomorrow.
