Wednesday July 10

Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning everybody, this is Luke da Kook with your Wednesday, July 10th Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and forecast.

Surf at folly is knee-thigh high light onshore winds. Beach renourishment is now underway at the Washout. Saw some turtle tracks but no nest.

Wind is light and variable early, trending more out of the SSW 10-20mph later today.

We came off a low tide before sunrise. Tide is high at 12:00 p.m. . Low tide will be at 5:53 p.m.

The Edisto buoy reads 2.6 at 7 seconds in a medium period east/south-east swell.

Surf is about knee-thigh high as we have strong high pressure sitting over the central Atlantic. This should generate small easterly/south easteryly swell for much of our work week with onshore winds. Nothing epic by any means but should be a small wave to surf. Late work week models suggesting a week broad low pressure to form over our marine area, this should further enhance our onshore flow and build the surf further into the waist+ area. We will keep you posted. Tropics have become quite.

The water temperature is hovering right around 81*.

It’s currently 82* and sunny. mix of sun and clouds today high of 88*.

Sunrise 6:14 a.m., Sunset 8:31 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
