Wednesday, July 15

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Wednesday, July 15 at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at the Pier is knee to thigh high with a very rare waist high set and it’s pretty clean. Looks Ok for the log at the high tide this morning. s

Winds are light from the north this morning, and are expected to swing east around 5 to 8 knots. Surf should be bumpy this afternoon, but not too choppy.

We have a high tide at 9:15 a.m., and a low tide at 3:11 pm. The next high tide is at 9:43 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is 3 feet at 6 seconds in a short-period, north-east swell. Much of this is passing by Folly Beach.

We have small waves this morning, but Ok for the log. Surf looks small for Thursday as well. South-west wind swell is on tap for this weekend starting Saturday with drifty, choppy conditions and south-west wind current running up the beach. There should be a little more size, but conditions will leave a lot to be desired. Check it for the early sessions this weekend for less wind.

It’s a humid 83* with some sun and clouds mixed. Look for a high of 87*. Heat index should be in the upper 90s. It’s hot.

Water temperature It’s around 86*.

Sunrise is at 6:23 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:28 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
