Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, July 26th at 7:30 a.m.
Coming to you from the northside of the pier. Looks like yesterday morning, but maybe a little smaller. It’s pretty flat with a clean little line every now and again. There may be a little push for a longboard wave as the tide pushes in if the wind stays slack.
Winds are west/south-west at 4 knots, and surf-zone is clean.
We expect light west winds for the morning and then becoming southeast at 10 kts in the afternoon.
Low tide is at 8:05 a.m. High tide is at 2:46 p.m. Next low tide is 9:05 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 1 foot at 9 seconds in a medium-period south-east swell.
With high pressure set up over our marine area for the foreseeable future, it’s going to be hard to see any REAL surf the next day or two. We do have a low off the coast of the Bahamas with no real chance of development. Maybe it will give is a little bump in surf in the next few days. We will let you know.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail this week. A cold front will approach the region early next week and likely stall.”
Water temperature is around 85*.
It’s 80* and sunny this morning. Expect sunny to partly cloudy and hot today with a high of 87*. It’s gonna be warm out, but another beautiful day at the beach.
Sunrise is at 6:29 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:22 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
