Wednesday July 31

Clean. Choppy this afternoon.

Time of Report: 8 a.m.
Wave Forecast: knee high
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None.

Good morning. This is Luke with your surf report for Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Surf at Folly ankle-knee high, looking extremely weak.

Winds are light south-west that should eventually pick up 10-20mph later today.

We just came off a early am High tide, a low tide around 11:12 , High tide is at 5:52 p.m.

The Edisto buoy reads 3.6 feet at 5s seconds in SW wind-swell.

Surfs pretty flat as expected this should continue into tomorrow and early Friday.. However looking ahead we have good hope on the horizon.  Our system in the tropics where the NHC currently giving a 60% chance of developing is looking healthier this morning. Forecast/models suggesting a westward track then turning hard north nearing the western Bahamas/florida SE coast. This is around Saturday morning then the storm looks to hug the east coast in a close proximity. That said timing for cleanups etc will be tough to call. But either way surf should build Friday late afternoon into Late Sunday and looks like a cleanup Monday morning. We will keep you posted. But surfs on the way. *Forecast can change keep your eye on it.  Debby could be a Debby

It’s currently 77* with storms on and off and clouds. Look for a high of 90* and clouds and storms mixed with sun

Sunrise 6:33 a.m., Sunset 8:20 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
