Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, June 10 at 8:30 a.m.

New men’s Vissla Boardshorts and apparel has arrived at the shop, as well as their line of short-sleeve button-downs. So come check out what’s new for summer from Vissla.

Waves at Folly this morning are knee-high. Occasionally thigh-high. It is soft at the morning’s incoming tide in a south wind swell, but looks OK for the long-board.

Winds are west/south-west at 5 knots, and surf zone is a bit textured, but overall clean.

Winds are forecast southerly at 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. This should build small, weak choppy south-choppy wind waves.

We have a high tide at 12:16 p.m., and a low tide at 6:12 p.m. Tide will be coming in until after dark.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 ft. at 6 seconds in a medium-period, east/south-east swell.

A cold-front approaches today, and we continue to see small southerly wind waves, best for the long-board on the incoming tide this morning. Surf should get choppy this afternoon as winds come on-shore with the afternoon sea-breeze. We could see an uptick in size as this approaching cold front stalls over our area on Thursday, with increasing southerly winds. Unfortunately it’s looking like small, long-board style waves with a light southerly flow for most of the weekend. So if you want a bigger wave, Thursday might be your day.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will stall over the area Thursday into the weekend. Another cold front will approach the area early next week.”

It’s 81* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 84* and humidity today with sun and some clouds. There is a slight chance of a shower all day.

Water temperature is 80*.

Sunrise is at 6:10 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:25 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
