Good morning this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, June 28 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at the washout has dropped overnight and is running thigh high and closing out at the low tide. It is super glassy with light offshore winds this morning. May be a morning glide somewhere around the pier.
Winds are west/north-west at around 4 knots, and surf zone is nice and clean. We see winds rotating to the south-east at 5-10 kts this afternoon.
We have a low tide at 10:07 a.m. high tide will fill in at 4:36 p.m. with another low concluding our day at 10:41 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.3 feet at 5 seconds in short period S swell.
This morning doesn’t look to good at the washout with the dropping tide. If the wind stays offshore into mid afternoon there may be a little push that could be fun on the bigger boards. Looking ahead the end of our week looks to stay down with a chance of decent trade-swell from an offshore high pressure for this weekend. Well keep you posted.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will prevail through early next week”
Water temperature is around 80*
Its hot and humid 81* with plenty of sunshine this morning. Temps will eventually climb to a high of 87* with sunshine persisting. It’s gonna be a beautiful day at the beach.
Sunrise is at 6:12 a.m., and sunset will be at 8:31 p.m.
