Semi-choppy

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.

Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop report and forecast for Wednesday, Mar 27th at 8:45 a.m.

Tons of new soft tops are in so come check it out!

Wetsuits at the shop are marked down 20% both 3/2s and 4/3s come get em!

Surf still hanging around thigh-belly high this morning, not lining up to well paired with a high tide making it pretty soft at the moment.

Winds are moderate out of the SSE around 10-15mph

We have a high tide at 10:00a.m. Our only low tide will be 4:00 p.m.

Edisto Buoy is reading 4.9 ft at 5 seconds from the SE.

Surf is about thigh-belly high at the moment overall not looking to hot. We have a stationary front developing on Thursday that looks to produce a weak low pressure right over our marine area, then shoves off the NC coastline on Friday. Unfortunately the short duration and overall weakness of this system doesn’t look to be a great wave producer. High pressure then returns over our general area and surf should be on the downside.

NOAA Marine Forecast: “Low pressure will move away from the area today, then a cold front will sweep through this afternoon. High pressure will build in Sunday through Monday night. A storm system will impact the area Wednesday into Thursday, followed by high pressure.”

The water temp is around 62*. It’s starting to warm up!

Its  64* degrees and pretty overcast with rain showers in the area. Look for a high of 70*

Sunrise is 7:15 a.m., Sunset 7:37 p.m.
