Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Wednesday, May 15th at 8:45 a.m.  

Surf at Folly looking pretty fun at the moment, waist to chest high pretty clean. Winds might get a little funky later today.

Currently winds are SW at 10-15mph picking up 15-25mph later on.   

We had a low tide at 8:50, and a high tide at 3:00 p.m. today.

The Edisto buoy is reading 5.6 foot at 8 seconds from the south-east.

Surf has picked up since yesterday, it is still hanging on waist to chest high surf can be found around Folly. Its looking pretty fun. This swell should stick around most of the day but begin to taper off later today info a fading trend. Still some small leftovers for Thursday morning early. Surf will become small to start Friday morning, but by days end we can look to see some onshore flow begin and run into Saturday. Looks like we should have some unstable weather with onshore winds picking our surf back up a notch for the weekend. Weve Got waves go surf.

According to NOAA; “A warm front will lift northward through the area this morning, followed by a cold front from the west tonight. High pressure will return to the area by Thursday, followed by another storm system this weekend.”

Water temperature is hovering right around 73*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings.

It’s currently 71* and sunny. Today we see a high of 77* and sunny.
