Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, November 10 at 8:30 a.m.

We received a shipment of men’s and kids’ neoprene jackets from Billabong. Come check them out while we still have some in stock.

Surf at The Washout is knee-to-thigh high and closing out a bit in a longer-period ground swell. It’s closing out at the lower tide, but could push a waist high set as the tide comes in. Probably best for the longboard.

Winds are west at 5 knots, and surf zone is very clean.

Look for south-east winds at 5 to 10 this afternoon. We see bump in small surf later today.

Tide is coming in. High tide will be at 12:30 p.m. Low tide will be at 6:39 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3 ft. at 12 seconds in a long-period east/south-east swell.

Look for small surf this afternoon into Thursday morning. Short-period, choppy south wind swell builds Thursday afternoon. Look for a small but rideable clean up for Friday morning after a cold front passage when winds go west. Keep an eye on the flags for Friday morning. Surf looks small into the weekend as off-shore flow increases and high pressure sets up over our marine area.

Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “High pressure will move off the coast tonight and Thursday. A cold front will move through Friday morning, followed by high pressure through Sunday. Another cold front will move through on Monday.”

It’s 60* with hazy sunshine this morning. Look for a high of 68* today with sun and clouds mixed.

Water temperature is going down. It’s now 60*. It should warm up some mid-to-late week with southerly flow increasing.

Sunrise is at 6:45 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:21 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
