Winds are south/south-west and surf zone is bumpy but not too choppy.
Look for south-west winds today ahead of a cold front scheduled to pass through overnight. We see small, choppy surf this afternoon.
High tide is at 9 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:16 p.m. The high tide is at 9:08 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 feet at 8 seconds in an east/south-east swell.
We see small south-east wind swell in the water today, with south-west winds making for choppy conditions this afternoon. Look for a more significant north-east wind swell Friday and into the weekend as low pressure affects our marine area and we see significant north-east winds.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our area currently calls for: “A weak cold front will move through the area today, followed by high pressure into late week. Low pressure should arrive and produce a period of cooler, unsettled weather during the weekend. High pressure will then return next week.”
Water temperature is running around 69*, dude!
It’s a warm 70* with high clouds at the beach. Look for a high of 74* and partly cloudy skies today. Not bad beach weather.
