Surf at The Washout this morning is pushing thigh high. There is a waist set.

Winds are from north at 20 knots after a cold front passage, and surf zone is pretty clean early this morning. It has a bit of drift in it from north-to-south, down the beach.

We see north-east winds at 10 to 15 knots adding chop to the surf this afternoon.

We have a low tide at 11:25 a.m., and a high tide will be at 5:52 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 4.3 ft. at 10 seconds in a long period east/south-east ground swell, with a east/north-east wind-swell – 5.9 ft. at 7 seconds.

Strong, side-shore, cool north winds are keeping surf clean but drifty this morning averaging thigh to waist high. You’ll need a spring suit this morning. This afternoon, look for choppier surf with a north-east wind with some drift from north-to-south, down the beach. We expect continued lighter north-east winds this week and east/south-east swell of variable quality throughout most of the work week. This falls off Friday. Go surf this week, because surf looks to fall off into the upcoming weekend.

It’s a cool 67* and cloudy this morning. Time for some neoprene. Look for a high of 79* and clouds today.

Water temperature has dropped to 78*.

Sunrise is at 7:19 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:53 p.m.
