Good morning this is Luke, with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, October 18 at 8:30 a.m.

New Catch Surf Boards have arrived, including the Round Nose Fish and lots of tri-fin Logs. Come check them out!

Surf at Folly this morning is unfortunately flat.

Winds are light and variable today making for clean surface conditions. Go fish

High tide will be at 10:43 a.m., and low tide will drop out at 5:22 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.6ft at 3 seconds in NE short period swell.

Surf is flat today this trend should continue into mid-late next as high pressure looks to take control of our general marine area. The good news we may get relief late work week into the weekend. 1st the tropics aren’t dead yet we have Invest 94L heading our way and looks more promising. 94L is supposed to go through some phases of strengthening and weaking due to some sheer ahead and its interaction with the eastern Caribbean islands in it’s path. Models have it entering our window into Saturday before it takes a hard turn to the north. Im not expecting a ton of swell out of this models have it staying pretty weak, but some groundswell should fill in early next week. 2nd we have a departing low/front approaching on Friday that could give us a quick shot of south wind swell Friday afternoon into Saturday morning. We’ll keep you updated.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “ Cool and dry high pressure will linger through Thursday, with a cold front is expected to bring impacts to the area late week into early this weekend. High pressure should return early next week.”

Water temperature is around 72*.

It’s chilly this morning. It’s 53* and sunny. Look for sun and a high of 71* and sun today. We have perfect fall beach weather.

Sunrise is at 7:22 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:48 p.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
