It is another beautiful morning on Folly Beach. We have perfect fall beach weather. Everyone is waiting for long period swell from Major Hurricane Sam begins to filter into our beaches starting Friday and building into this weekend. Nothing like a weekend hurricane swell to bring out the dusty boards from the old storage unit. Might be some easterly winds on the swell, but conditions should be nice this weekend. Looks like another beautiful swell coming with no need to pack the sandbags and put up the plywood. Let’s hope we stay so luck for the rest of hurricane season.
Your National Weather Service Marine Weather Forecast for our area calls for: “Weak high pressure will prevail across the area today, with a diffuse cold front to approach from the north late tonight. High pressure will then remain the dominant feature through early next week.
It’s a beautiful 73* and sunny. Look for a high of 82* and sun today. Awesome fall weather here at Folly Beach.
Water temperature is going down. It’s 79*.
Sunrise is at 7:12 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:07 p.m.
