Wednesday Washout

Good morning, this is EazyE bringing you your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, February 12th at 8:45 a.m.

Come swing by the shop this week and show some local love this Valentine’s season. Shop local and support the community!

Little but of energy in the water this morning and looks like some fun fish or grovel style boards would be the best choice if not the trust log. Yewwww!

Winds are currently 5kt out of the NW with gusts up to 10kt later today. Winds will stick true around 10-15 kt but switch more S as the day ends.

We had a high tide at 7:46 a.m. and we will have a low tide at 1:47 p.m. The next high tide will be after dark tonight at 8:06 p.m.

Keep an eye on the conditions later this week and into the weekend to see if it shapes up. And if you’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on that wetsuit, now’s the time to grab it.

Edisto Bouy is reading 4.3 feet at 8 seconds in an ESE medium period swell.

Our guys and gals at NOAA predict a “warm front will lift just north of the area on today ahead of an approaching cold front that will impact the area Thursday. This boundary is expected to stall just south of the region on Friday, lifting back north as a warm front Friday night into Saturday, with a stronger cold front impacting the area on Sunday”.

The water temperature is around 54*.

It’s currently 49* and cloudy. Expect clouds all day with a high of 63*.

Sunrise was at 7:06 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:03 p.m.

Thanks for tuning in for the Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast.
