Clean. Choppy this afternoon.

Time of Report: 8:30 a.m.
Wave Forecast: Knee-to-thigh.
Traffic: Not too bad.
Parking: Some.
Dangers: None

Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Wednesday, May the 8th at 8:45 a.m.

We have lots of new boards on the floor, including Epoxy Pyzel Gremlins and the new Precious model. Also, classic WRV longboards including the Shuffleboard and Model 67 Classic. Local boy Tim Jump from Secula dropped of a few stunners as well, come check them out!

Surf at Folly around knee-maybe thigh high, looking pretty weak winds are light out of the south. A small longboard wave.

Winds are currently light from the south-west. Winds will be around 15-25 mph this afternoon continuing out of the south-west increasing through the day.

We have a high tide at report time.  Low tide at 2:48 p.m., high tide is 9:13 p.m.

The Edisto buoy is reading 3.3 feet at 5 seconds from the SSW.

Small summer SSW wind-swell is on tap enough to get the logs wet up to thigh high. Further ahead, we have an approaching front tomorrow that should help get the surf up a notch into the waist high range late work week. This front moving through looks to leave some moisture behind it that could further generate a low over the weekend around the SE states something to watch. Nothing crazy in the forecast but enough to get us surfing.

Water temperature is hovering right around 73*, so spring suits and jackets are the call for mornings

It’s currently 74* and partly cloudy. Today  will be partly cloudy with a high of 83* .

Sunrise 6:26 a.m., Sunset 8:06 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
