Good morning this is Luke, with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, Nov 1st at 8:30 a.m.

Surf at Folly is thigh-waist high in high angled drifty conditions from the ENE. Looks ok its pretty windy side-offshore conditions.

Winds are north/north-east this morning around 15-20mph and should continue through the remainder of today.

High tide is at 11:14 a.m. We’ll see the only low tide today at 5:41 p.m..

The Edisto Buoy is reading 7.2ft at 7 seconds in NE swell.

Surf currently in the thigh-waist high range early. This swell will tapper off as strong NNE winds will begin to knock it down. Looking further ahead high pressure moves in over the central eastern seaboard producing strong NNE winds and keeping the surf down the rest of the work week. Some moisture from yesterdays front stalls well offshore and lingers around with some models hinting at some development into a weak low that could shove some weekend surf. We will keep you updated.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “High pressure will extend across the region through early next week. A weak trough of low pressure will develop offshore this weekend. A cold front could then approach the area by the middle of next week.

Water temperature is around 67*.

It’s CHILLY 54* this morning sunny skies and gusty winds. Temperatures only climb to 57* today but Oceans got all the warm gear at the shop come swing in!

Sunrise is at 7:34 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:30 p.m. Last light is right at 6:58 p.m.
