Good Saturday morning. This is Chad with your 8:30 am surf report for Saturday, July 20th.

Waves at the pier are looking pretty small, around knee high with maybe a thigh high set. It is fairly clean with winds out of the WSW around 9 mph.

Expect winds to pick up around 10-15 mph later in the day.

High tide was at 7:20 am with a low tide at 1:24 pm. Next high tide will be 8:07pm

The Edisto buoy reads 2.6 ft at 9 seconds from the SSW.

So there is a little something in the water this morning, but a little weak so the bigger boards are having the most luck. Looks like similar conditions throughout the rest of the week. Tropics are quiet right now so not much to look at.

The water temperature is around 86*.

Your NOAA National Marine Weather Forecast for Charleston’s marine area calls for: “High pressure will remain over the western Atlantic while a surface trough lingers inland.”

It’s currently 78* and sunny.  High today is 87* with a few passing clouds. Gonna be a beautiful day at the beach

Sunrise 6:25 a.m., Sunset 8:25 p.m.

That’s all from us at Ocean Surf, check back tomorrow.
