Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, Nov. 6 at 8:15 a.m.
With the time change, we move on to our winter hours, which are from 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Waves at the Washout are running knee to thigh high with an occasional waist high set. It is soft at the morning’s high tide. Bring the longboard, grovler or fish if you want to surf this morning.
Winds are north at 5 knots, surf is side-shore, but clean.
We expect north winds this morning at 5 to 10 knots, with variable winds this afternoon and we should have pretty clean surf today.
We have a high at 8:58 a.m. low tide will be at 3:21 p.m.
Edisto Buoy is reading 2.6 ft. at 7 seconds in short to medium period east wind swell with a fairly high angle on it.
Look for surf to average thigh high this morning in clean medium period easterly swell. Surf should drop off some as the tide rolls out this afternoon. Surf looks to be small for most of the work week, picking up in north-east wind swell late Friday into the weekend.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Weak high pressure will remain over the region through Tuesday. A cold front will push slowly south across the area Wednesday through Thursday, before shifting offshore with weak low pressure on Friday. High pressure should then prevail late weekend into early next week.”
It’s a cool 66* and cloudy this morning. Look for a nice beach day with a high of 79* and some sun coming from behind the clouds this afternoon.
Water temperature has dropped to around 68*with the cold snap and that temp is just going to keep on dropping. Might want to get a wetsuit soon.
Sunset is at 5:34 p.m. and sunrise will be at 6:41 a.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
