Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, December 27th 2017.

All shoes and apparel are marked down 20-40% so come do some shopping with us and stock up on neoprene while you’re here!

Surf at the Washout this morning is less than knee high.

Winds are N at 9 knots and surf is clean but slightly side shore.

Winds will remain NNE at 10-15 for the next couple of days as the temperature drops in the area and we see wet weather approach.

Low tide was earlier this hour. High tide will be at 2:10 pm followed by low tide at 8:29 pm.

Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 4.5 sec. in short period E wind swell.

As winds continue to blow from the NNE, temperatures will remain cold and surf conditions are not optimal today. Tomorrow, we see waist to chest high ENE short period wind swell mixing with NNE wind.  Surf may be drifty, but as the wind lightens tomorrow afternoon, there is a possibility of fun waves. E wind swell continues into Friday with stomach to chest high sets possible.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “An upper disturbance will move through today. Another upper disturbance will move through Thursday and Thursday night while cold high pressure builds in. A storm system may affect the area early next week before cold Canadian high pressure builds southeast.”

It is 45* and drizzling this morning. We expect rain and a high of 47* today.

Water temperature is around 55*.

Sunset is at 5:21 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:21 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
