Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday, June 7th at 8:30 a.m.
Surf at the Washout is less than knee high.
Winds are SSW at 2 knots. Surf zone is perfectly clean.
Look for SW winds at 5 to 10 knots as the day progresses, creating a slight chop.
High tide will be at 3:04 p.m. and low tide will be at 9:10 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 1.6 ft. at 5 seconds in SW wind and ESE swell combo.
Surf is not expected to pick up today or over the course of the week. Surf stays small through the weekend, picking up some through the day on Sunday in a drifty, choppy south-west wind swell.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A weak backdoor front will drop into the area today and dissipate while a surface trough lingers through the weekend. Another front will attempt to approach the area early next week, bringing unsettled conditions through the middle of the week.”
It is 79* and sunny this morning. Look for a high of 87* with partly cloudy skies this afternoon.
