Waves at the Washout are knee to thigh high. It’ll likely push a clean thigh high long-board wave on the incoming tide mid-morning.
Winds are west/north-west at 5 to 10 knots, and surf zone is clean.
Look for westerly winds at 5 knots all day. Surf zone will be clean.
Low tide is at 8:53 a.m., and high tide will be at 3:07 p.m. The next low tide is at 9:14 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 2.3 ft. at 6 seconds in a south/south-west wind swell. Not much swell at the buoy this morning.
Our start to the work week looks small until Thursday, when we see a building south-east wind swell during the day on Thursday into the waist high range with a storm system approaching. Winds go strong south-west overnight Thursday, and look for big, choppy south/south-west wind swell for Friday. This cleans up and quickly fades on Saturday morning as the storm system moves north, and high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Dry high pressure is expected through the middle of the week. A storm system will impact the area with locally heavy rain late in the work week followed by cooler and drier high pressure next weekend.”
It’s 48 degrees and cloudy this morning. Look for a partly cloudy day and a high of 64*.
Water temperature is 56*.
Sunrise is around 7:15 a.m. and sunset will be at 5:15 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
