Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, April 28th at 7:30 a.m.
We have lots of spring merchandise coming in every day, so come see what’s new next time you’re out this way.
Girls this is a good time to get signed up for the Folly Wahine Classic surf contest!
Surf at the pier is Flat-ankle high and breaking close to shore this morning.
Winds are SW at 7 knots and surf has slight texture to it early.
Look for SW winds to increase up to 10 knots today then switch from the S at 10-15 knots this afternoon.
We are approaching low tide at 9:53 a.m. High tide will be at 4:10 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3ft. at 4 seconds in small SSW swell.
Surf is basically flat and weak, not looking good even for the desperate. High pressure settles in over the next few days keeping our surf down. Looking ahead late in the work week looks like we could see a thigh-waist high trade swell reach our beaches. Overall not the most exciting report but the weather is going to be great all week and the water feels great.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into late next week.”
It’s 63* with sun this morning. Look for a decent beach day with a high of 82* and sunshine throughout the day.
Water temperature is around 72*.
Sunrise is at 6:36 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:58 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
