Good morning, this is Annie with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, April 27th at 8:30 a.m.
We have lots of spring merchandise coming in every day, so come see what’s new next time you’re out this way.
Surf at the pier is knee high and breaking close to shore this morning.
Winds are NW at 6 knots and surf is glassy.
Look for NW winds to increase up to 10 knots today then switch from the S at 10-15 knots this afternoon.
We are approaching low tide at 9:03 a.m. High tide will be at 3:07 p.m. followed by low tide again at 9:12 a.m. The Edisto buoy is reading 3ft. at 6 seconds in small SSW swell with N winds. We see a little glassy bump out there this morning, with better chances for anything really ridable on incoming tide this afternoon. Over the next few days, we’ll see general southerly winds (SE/SW/S) with gusts hovering mostly about 10-15 knots with high pressure. No real swell appears to be coming this way into early next week, so get out there while it’s clean today.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure will prevail into late next week.”
It’s 63* with sun this morning. Look for a decent beach day with a high of 76* and sunshine throughout the day.
Water temperature is around 71*.
Sunrise is at 6:36 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:58 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
