Surf is side-shore, but has clean faces.
Winds are north/north-west at 15 to 18, and there is drift down the beach and it is cold this morning.
Surf should remain overall semi-clean with strong north winds and drifty conditions increasing this afternoon.

Edisto buoy is reading 5.9 ft. at 6 sec. in mainly short-period north-east wind swell and a small medium period south-easterly swell.
We have high angled north-easterly wind swell in the water today, averaging knee to thigh high with lots of north wind and drifty conditions. This trend continues into the Saturday, as we see north winds continue and swell pushes a bit in easterly ground swell. Wind and swell fades some on Sunday. We see short period south-west wind swell fill in ahead of a cold front Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A series of disturbances will move along a stalled front just south of the region through tonight. Strong high pressure will then build over the area this weekend into early next week. Another cold front will move through next Tuesday, with colder than normal conditions into late next week.”
It’s 44* with clouds and rain this morning. Look for a high of 48 with 100% chance of rain on and off today.
Water temperature is 59*, but that will drop with this front moving through.
Sunset is at 5:13 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:10 a.m.
