Glassy

Time of Report: 8:30 AM
Wave Forecast: Ankle to knee.
Traffic: none
Parking: plenty
Dangers: none

Good morning, this is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, Nov. 3 at 8:15 a.m.

Lots of neoprene and flannel in stock-come check it out!

Waves at the Washout are ankle to shin high and perfectly glassy.

Winds are NNW at less than 5 knots, and should switch to light NE winds at 5 knots later today.

We had a high tide just before day-break, low tide will be at 1:53 pm. The next high tide will be at 8:01 p.m.

Edisto buoy is reading 2 ft. at 8 seconds in long period easterly swell.

Maybe a thigh high longboard wave as the tide comes in this evening and wind remains light, but overall surf is pretty small. High pressure is set up over our marine area and should remain over our area this week, with minimal surf in the forecast as is often seen with this type of weather pattern. There are not too many wave making systems in the forecast this week, but we could see some small waist high longboard waves on Sunday with moderate north-east winds.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “High pressure along with warm temperatures and dry conditions will prevail through early next week. A cold front is expected to push through the region around Wednesday, followed by high pressure through late next week.”

It’s a cool 60* and sunny this morning. Look for a beautiful beach day with a high of 80* and sunshine.

Water temperature has dropped to around 68*with the cold snap. Might want to get a wetsuit soon.

Sunset is at 6:28 p.m. and sunrise will be at 7:37 a.m.

Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
