Look for winds to remain from the south-west today averaging 10 knots, with variable winds possible during thunderstorms.
We’ll have a high tide at 9:02 a.m., and a low tide at 3:05 p.m. The next high tide is at 9:34 p.m.
The Edisto Buoy is reading 3.9 ft at 5 seconds in a south/south-west wind swell.
Surf looks to average waist-to-stomach high today with a bigger set this afternoon in a choppy, bumpy south-west wind swell. We should see choppy south-west wind swell Saturday as a front lingers in our area, creating unsettled weather and choppy south-west wind waves averaging waist high. This wind swell drops off a bit for Sunday. Surf looks small into the beginning of the work week. As of right now, there is not anything really firing up in the tropics.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “A cold front will approach the area tonight, then linger through Sunday. Atlantic high pressure and an inland trough will then prevail until a cold front affects the area late week.”
It’s 82* with showers at the beach. Look for a high of 86* today, with rain and thunderstorms.
Water temperature is around 86*.
Sunrise is at 6:43 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:02 p.m.
