Surf at The Washout is knee to thigh high. It should push a waist high set as the tide comes in.
Winds are south-easterly at 5 knots, and surf is bumpy and semi-choppy.
Look for winds to continue south-easterly today at 10 knots with bumpy, semi-choppy surf all day.
Tide is now coming in, and high tide at the beach will be 12:54 p.m., with a low tide at 6:54 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.6 ft. at 12 seconds in a high angled easterly ground swell.
We have some small waves this morning for the high volume board as the tide comes in. We see another cold front and some unsettled weather approaches our marine area Saturday as surf falls off some. Look for winds trending winds moderate from the south/south-east through late Saturday. Surf should pick up Sunday in a fresh, choppy, south-west wind swell, which should clean up and drop some Monday afternoon. Surf looks to fall off into the heart of the work week as high pressure sets up over our marine area.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Atlantic high pressure will move away through the end of the week while a cold front slowly approaches from the west, bringing increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms. The cold front will move through Sunday night, with a weak secondary cold front passing through Monday. Drier high pressure will prevail through at least the middle of next week.”
It’s 72* with mostly cloudy skies. Look for a sun behind clouds today and a high of 79*.
Water temperature is around 77*.
Sunrise is at 6:23 a.m. and sunset will be at 8:08 p.m.
