Good morning, this is Luke with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Saturday, March 16th at 8:00 a.m.
All of our full wetsuits are marked down for end of season, come see if we have what you need and save money on next seasons suit.
We’ve got soft-boards in all shapes and sizes by Odysea, Beater and Surf Hardware. Come check ‘em out.
Waves at the Pier are knee high in a clean south wind swell. Maybe a thigh set on the incoming tide push.
Winds are north-west at 10-15 knots, expected to persist through the day keeping our surf zones clean.
We have a low tide at 10:37 a.m., and a high tide will be at 4:44 p.m. The next low tide is at 10:54 p.m.
The Edisto buoy is reading 3.9 ft at 6 seconds in a dominant south wind swell.
We have Knee to possible thigh high surf on the incoming tide mid-morning. That cold front pushed through early last night turning our winds offshore for the day. The start of your work week looks small, but we could see a building north-east swell Tuesday and Wednesday as low pressure moves out of the Gulf of Mexico and off the coast during the middle of next week and high pressure sets up just to our north.
Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our marine area calls for: “Our area will remain sandwiched between high pressure to the northwest and a stationary front to the south into early next week. A dry cold front will move through late Monday, followed by high pressure into at least the middle of next week.”
It’s 59* with sun behind the clouds this morning, a bit cooler today than the last two days. Look for sun behind the clouds today and a high of 63*.
Water temperature is around 62*.
With the time change, sunrise is around 7:28 a.m. and sunset will be at 7:27 p.m.
Thanks for checking in with Ocean Surf Shop.
